Bluetooth Advantages and Disadvantages

Bluetooth devices are proven to be amazing gadgets that are definitely a standout in this high-tech world of today. Bluetooth technology is synonymous to communication that’s wireless, devoid of the long cables, making communications and networking all the more simple.

Bluetooth advantages

One of the more appreciated Bluetooth advantages is that it can go through physical obstacles such as walls, unlike its competitor, which is the infrared.

Bluetooth technology has a wider range, going as high as 80 to 100 meters.

It also requires low power and can be easily integrated to small battery-run gadgets.

Bluetooth Disadvantages

It has low rate of data transfer which is 1MBPS, which pales in comparison with infrared (4MBPS).

The very fact that the Bluetooth devices have wider radio frequency and range makes it more vulnerable to attack and signal interception. This makes its level of security highly suspect.

Still and all, the Bluetooth is one of the best gadgets for wireless technology that’s short range. Surely it will further establish itself as a dependable high tech communications gadget for a long time.
